The agama lizard found in Sub saharan Africa is characterized by its whitish underside, buff brown back limbs and tail with a slightly lighter stripe down the middle and six to seven dark patches to the side of this stripe. We don have <em>Agama agama</em> in India but <em>Calotes versicolor</em> belongs to Family <em>Agamidae</em>. Dear Mr.Toyin Olugbemi, This is female Oriental Garden Lizard (Calotes versicolor).
